Building Employability Skills That Enable Sustainable Livelihoods

India stands at a pivotal moment, with one of the world’s youngest populations and rapidly evolving workforce needs. As industries shift toward technology, digital services, and green jobs, skill development and employability skills have become essential for meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.
Despite strong economic growth, young people—especially women and vulnerable communities—continue to face barriers such as unequal access to opportunities, limited exposure to industry-relevant skills, and insecure school-to-work transitions. Aligned with SDG 4.4 and national priorities like NEP 2020, Digital India, Make in India, and Skill India, Centum Foundation designs CSR initiatives that prepare youth and adults for the future of work through domain skills, life skills, career readiness, and digital empowerment.
