Together with the SBI Foundation, Centum Foundation launched a transformative program in Pune to enhance financial inclusion and empower communities. This initiative underscores a shared commitment to creating sustainable livelihoods and driving economic growth from the grassroots level.

The event, graced by esteemed guests such as Sushil Kumar Verma, CFO of SBI, and Rewa Sharma, Project Manager at SBI Foundation, highlighted the strategic partnership between the two organizations. The program, managed by Centum Foundationā€™s dedicated team, including Shatarupa Chatterjee and Deepak Kumar, is set to train individuals as Business Correspondents/Facilitators and Micro Finance Executives.

Throughout the launch event, attendees witnessed the distribution of kits and books, symbolizing the tangible support provided to participants. These resources are essential for equipping trainees with the necessary tools to succeed in their new roles. The program’s objective is clear: to foster financial inclusion by empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate economic activities in their communities.

The initiative aims to reach over 360 individuals in Pune alone, with a broader target of training 720 participants. By focusing on comprehensive skill development, the program aspires to achieve a minimum 70% placement rate, thereby ensuring that trainees not only gain new skills but also secure meaningful employment.

This launch event is more than just a commencement; it is a celebration of the potential to create lasting impact and transform lives. The collaboration between SBI Foundation and Centum Foundation is a testament to the power of strategic partnerships in driving social change. As the program progresses, it promises to contribute significantly to the upliftment of communities by enhancing financial literacy, promoting economic self-sufficiency, and fostering a culture of empowerment.
By equipping participants with practical skills and fostering an environment of continuous learning, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope and progress. It reinforces the commitment of both foundations to creating opportunities that pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.
