Empowering Dreams Through the YES Program

D. Ramakrishna, from Venugopallam, Suryapet District, Telangana, always dreamed of a career in pharmacy but faced financial hardships that put his goals on hold. After the loss of his younger brother, he stepped in to support his family by working on their farm and later joined a small company to make ends meet. However, his passion for pharmacy remained.

In May 2024, he discovered the YES Program, implemented by Centum Foundation, and seized the opportunity to enroll in the Pharmacy Assistant course at no cost. The training covered vital skills, including drug classification, pharmacy practices, biomedical waste management, and soft skills. With newfound confidence, Ramakrishna secured a role as a Pharmacy Assistant at MedPlus, starting at ₹12,500 per month, with a performance-based raise to ₹13,000 after six months.

Today, Ramakrishna proudly supports his family, grateful to YES Foundation and Centum Foundation for empowering him to achieve his dream. His success story stands as a testament to the transformative power of opportunity.
