Employment to youth through skill development programs

Objectives​

HDFC “Parivartan- A step towards progress” is focused on the capacity building of youth for self- reliance. The goal of this project is to enhance the economic conditions of the marginalized community. This project focuses on the youth and women of 18 to 35 years of age. The major objective of this project is training and skill development along with employability of the target youth.​

Target Beneficiaries​

Youths aged 18-35 from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on including a group of transgender individuals, aiming to provide them with essential skills.​

Challenge​

  • Aim for 80% attendance to maximize training effectiveness and participant engagement.​
  • Offer job placements within the local area to support community employment and reduce relocation stress.​
  • Select and confirm the training center tailored to the needs of the special category participants.​
  • Implement strategies to ensure long-term employment retention after initial job placement.

  • Transition from solely domain-specific training to a mix of 70% domain training and 30% soft skills training to create well-rounded professionals.​
  • Establish dedicated call centers focused on monitoring candidates’ progress and resolving any grievances they may have.​
  • Partner with local placement agencies to guarantee job opportunities within the community.​

  • Mobilization: Targeted outreach in collaboration with local NGOs, educational institutes.​
  • Training: A blend of theoretical sessions and practical, hands-on learning in real-world scenarios.​
  • Assessment & Certifications: Rigorous evaluation leading to NSQF-aligned certifications, emphasizing the program’s quality and relevance.​
  • Placement: Strategic partnerships with corporations ensured meaningful employment opportunities through mock interviews and job fairs.

  • Constructive utilization of time : Make the most of time by engaging in productive activities that contribute to personal and professional growth.​
  • Training & Certification: 100% target achievement with 5000+ beneficiaries trained and certified.​
  • Social Inclusion : We focused to train a batch of 25 transgenders for the job self employed tailor job role.

  • Emphasize improved training methods with an increased focus on practical lectures, sessions from industry experts, and digital learning through smart classes.​
  • Since many candidates prefer not to relocate, we prioritize securing local employment opportunities for them.​
  • We have established dedicated call centers to monitor candidate progress and handle any grievances of those placed in jobs.
